Istanbul: A city worth seeing at your earliest convenience

Istanbul, the capital to three major empires throughout history certainly ranks in the very top group of most worth-seeing cities in the world. The Eastern Roman Empire, Byzantium Empire and the Great Ottoman Empire all adopted this fantastic city as their capital.

In fact that is exactly the reason why it has so much to offer in terms of historical assets and ruins from hundreds of years ago.

When we look at the location of the city, we cannot help being bewildered again as it is built on 7 hills originally and is the gateway between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea over the the strait called the Bosphorus.

Istanbul is a giant world to discover for foreign visitors with a socia life going on round the clock.The city is home to almost 20 million inhabitants now (not official) and certainly copes with some problems as with all giant metropoles.

The Metropolitan Municipality spends every effort to challenge those problems and has already achieved much such as improvement in public transportation and roads as well as landscaping and much more.

To recap Istanbul is a paradise for visitors hungry to discover beuaties and exotic way of the Orient as well as an immense history.
