Kamala Harris: “Ready” to become president if needed

US Vice President Kamala Harris has stated that she is “ready” to assume the presidency if necessary.

Next year, the US presidential elections will be held, with the current President Joe Biden announcing his candidacy, and former President Donald Trump also being a prominent figure in the discussions. The debate has also revolved around Biden’s age, as he is 81 years old.

According to Reuters, Harris responded to questions from reporters during the ‘Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ (ASEAN) summit. Harris bypassed questions about Biden’s age, stating that “Biden is in good shape” and indicating that she could take over the presidency if necessary.

The Vice President stated, “If necessary, I can assume the presidency. But Biden is in good shape. They are attacking Biden because they fear that we will win.”
