Statement from PM Sunak about increase in “Visa Fees”

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, “We will increase visa fees slightly. We will also raise the health payments paid by immigrants who come to our country legally.”

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced health payments paid by immigrants while obtaining a visa will be increased. Sunak made the statements at the press conference where he announced the raise decisions for public employees.

Answering the question about where the money that is not in the budget would come from, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak replied, “I am not preparing to make a tax hike.”

Sunak, noting that the health insurance fees paid by immigrants coming to the country would be increased, said, “We will increase the visa fees slightly. We will also raise health payments made by immigrants who came to our country legally. Those who benefit from health services should pay a fee here.” Both payments had not been increased recently.
