The rental increase rate for April has been determined with the announcement of the inflation data for March by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

Under normal circumstances, rental increase rates calculated according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) were limited to 25% following the government’s regulations.

Accordingly, in contracts renewed between June 11, 2022, and July 1, 2024, landlords cannot increase rents by more than 25%. This 25% increase limit applies only to residential properties; there is no such limit for commercial properties.

WHAT WAS THE RENTAL INCREASE RATE FOR APRIL FOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES?

The maximum increase rate calculated based on the twelve-month average was 57.50%.
