Last 24 hours of Covid-19 in Turkey: 107 thousand 530 cases, 233 loss of life

In the last 24 hours, 107,530 cases and 233 deaths were recorded in Turkey. In one day, 455 thousand 463 Covid-19 tests were conducted, 88 thousand 14 people recovered.
The number of cases is rising rapidly with the Omicron variant. On December 19, 2021, the daily Covid-19 cases, which dropped to 16,910, exceeded 20 thousand in a week, and at the end of the month they saw over 40 thousand; yesterday, the record was refreshed with 110,682.
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on his Twitter account: “The Omicron variant is the reason why the virus is spreading at an unusual speed. These cases are usually mild. The number of cases, on the other hand, can show a serious decrease in two to three weeks, as in the case of Istanbul and Eskişehir. We have to protect ourselves, but we have to focus on the future instead of the epidemic.”
