Weather in Turkey: Extreme heat is back.. Here are expected temperatures by province

The extreme heat experienced in the eastern regions will also affect the western regions. According to the latest forecasts from the Meteorology General Directorate, starting from Sunday, temperatures will rise 10 degrees above the seasonal norms. Here are the expected temperatures in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and other provinces…

Temperatures in the Inner Aegean, Mediterranean, Inner Anatolia, the inner parts of Western Black Sea, Central and Eastern Black Sea, and Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia are expected to be 6 to 10 degrees above the seasonal norms throughout next week.

The highest daily temperatures in some provinces in the coming days are estimated to be within the following ranges:

Ankara: 33-38 °C
Istanbul: 28-34 °C
Izmir: 32-34 °C
Kayseri: 37-40 °C
Adana: 38-45 °C
Hatay: 36-42 °C
Mersin: 36-43 °C
Kahramanmaras: 38-45 °C
Osmaniye: 38-45 °C
Konya: 38-40 °C
Eskisehir: 37-41 °C
Kirikkale: 39-41 °C
Bolu: 34-38 °C
Karabuk: 37-40 °C
Amasya: 35-38 °C

In the warning issued by the Meteorology General Directorate, it was stated that “Due to the hot weather wave, citizens, especially those with chronic illnesses, the elderly, and children, need to be cautious and take precautions between 11 and 16, which are the hottest hours of the day.”
