Last minute News: Proposal from government to reward institutions that convert their assets to TL

A proposal for a law introducing a tax exemption for institutions that convert their assets into TL was adopted at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

It is very clear that the measures taken by the government on December 20 were not effective enough and did not give the expected results to convert hundreds of billions of dollars in bank accounts into Turkish lira. The government still needs the dollar and is doing its best to dispose of it. But it seems it is quite difficult to achieve the desired results.
