The CHP’s motion to investigate the bomb attack in Taksim, Istanbul, was rejected by the AKP and MHP deputies in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly. As a result of the bomb explosion on Istiklal Street of Taksim in Beyoğlu district, six people had lost their lives and 81 people were injured, on November 13.

Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu had claimed that the PKK had organized the attack and blamed the United States. In the statement of the General Directorate of Security, the suspect was shown as a “specially trained intelligence officer by the PKK”. The PKK said it had nothing to do with the attack.

According to ANKA’s news, the CHP proposed that the research motion submitted to the speaker of the Assembly in order to investigate the attack in all its dimensions be discussed at today’s meeting of the General Assembly.

CHP Istanbul Deputy Ali SEKER spoke about the motion of the CHP Group. SEKER drew attention to the need for research so that such attacks would not be repeated.
