New arrangement for music broadcasting venues

The “Environmental Noise Control Regulation” of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the regulation, the working hours of the workplaces broadcasting music will be rearranged by the decision of the Provincial Local Environment Board taking into consideration of summer and winter period, the characteristics of the region, strategic noise maps and action plans.

The events held in the open air will be held between 10.00-01.00 hours.

In a statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that some difficulties had occurred in the implementation of the regulation due to the cancellation of some provisions in the ‘Environmental Noise Assessment and Management Regulation, related to entertainment venues  by the decision of the Council of State.

Within the scope of the new regulation ‘the city specific noise management’, ‘high volume outdoor activities’, ‘condition of permission for fireworks’, ‘continuous noise monitoring system’, ‘time setting for construction sites’, ‘historical structures noise shield’, ‘noise arrangements for 81 counties on the map were recorded.

Accordingly, venues that broadcast music will be given permission to broadcast music in accordance with the acoustic reports prepared, and in case of 3 violations of acoustic reports within the same calendar year, the permission to broadcast music will be canceled.
