“Market Fiyatı” App Lets You Compare Prices of 50,000 Products in Turkey
Goodbye store-hopping, hello smart shopping. – A brand new app has just launched in Turkey that’s set to completely change how people shop for groceries. Called “Market Fiyatı” (market price), this digital platform gathers and compares prices for nearly 50,000 products sold across chain supermarkets — all in one place. Developed by TÜBİTAK, with support from the Ministry of Commerce and the Central Bank, the app is now available on Google Play and App Store.
What does the Market Fiyatı app do?
Think of it as your smart grocery assistant. Instead of driving from one market to another or checking multiple websites, you can now search for any product within the app and instantly see where it’s sold cheapest. Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, meat, dairy, beverages, cleaning supplies, or personal care items — it’s all there, updated in real time.

The app isn’t just about comparing prices — it’s also location-aware. Based on where you are, it shows prices from nearby markets, so you’re not only saving money but also time and fuel. Even cooler? You can scan product barcodes with your phone camera right inside the app to get instant price comparisons.
Backed by the government, designed for the people
The announcement came from Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who shared the launch via his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He emphasized that this app was designed to help Turkish citizens make informed choices and combat rising living costs by empowering consumers with transparency.
