Meteorology shares weather report in Turkey for January 29th 2023
The General Directorate of Meteorology has published the weather report for January 29th. Rain and sleet will be effective throughout the country, snow will be seen at high elevations.
According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is predicted that the whole of Turkey will be very cloudy and the east of Marmara, the Inner Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Black Sea and Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia will be rainy.
Precipitation is expected to be mainly rain, sleet and snow in the east of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Western and Eastern Black Sea, as well as in Eastern Anatolia.
Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the northern, inner and eastern parts of the country and to hover around seasonal norms throughout Turkey.
The wind is expected to blow mildly, sometimes moderate, usually from northerly directions.

MARMARA: Expected to be very cloudy, rain and showers in the east, sleet and snow in the surroundings of Bilecik.

ISTANBUL 7°C, Very cloudy, light rain on the Anatolian Side at noon
AEGEAN: Very cloudy and light precipitation. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and showers around Denizli, Manisa and Uşak; rain and sleet around Kütahya and Afyonkarahisar, and snow in places at heights.

MEDITERRANEAN: expected to be very cloudy, the Central and Eastern Mediterranean and the surroundings of Antalya will see intermittent rain and torrential rains.

EASTERN ANATOLIA: expected to be very cloudy, with intermittent snowfall in the region.

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA: very cloudy, except for Mardin, whole region predicted to see rainy intermittently.
