EARLY ELECTIONS IN TURKEY

Voters were asked, “How much do you think the annual price increase of food products is?” 36 percent of respondents said “100 percent or above. 24.4 percent of respondents said “Between 50 and 100 percent” and 21.1 percent said “between 30-50 percent” whereas 5.6 percent of respondents said “30 percent and below”.

33.5 percent of AKP voters stated that the annual increase in food products was 100 percent or higher. MHP voters stated that the annual increase in food products of 28.6 percent was 100 percent or higher.

While important developments keep taking place in the economy, Kemal OAZKIRAZ, the President of Eurasia Research Company, shared a remarkable backstage information. “We have heard that 6 deputies will resign by the end of this month,” he said on his social media account. He went on to say “we will see big breaks in the AKP starting from February”.

After the 2018 elections, there were significant breaks in the AKP. The most vital ones were Ahmet Davutoglu and Ali Babacan, who had held very important positions in AK Party such as former Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister consecutively. Davutoglu founded the Future Party, while Ali Babacan founded the Atılım ve Demokrasi (DEVA) Party. Currently, both parties are in strong opposition to the AKP and seem to be on a rising trend.
