Russia claims U.S.-owned reconnaissance plane has approached Russian passenger plane

The Russian Federal Aviation Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced that a US-owned surveillance  aircraft serving in NATO had approached a Russian passenger plane over the Black Sea and a note about the incident would be given.

A statement by the Russian Federal Aviation Agency (Rosaviatsiya) claimed that a US-owned Artemis CL-600 type reconnaissance aircraft approached a passenger plane belonging to the Russian Aeroflot airline with 142 passengers on board during its flight over the Black Sea.

RUSSIA CHANGED THE ROUTE OF THE PASSENGER PLANE

Rosaviatsiya noted that the US aircraft flew on December 3 at 09.53 on the air traffic route designated for civilian aircraft, descending from an altitude of 11 thousand meters to an altitude of 9 thousand 200 meters off the Black Sea, and said that the passenger plane operating the Tel Aviv – Moscow flight was instructed to change its route due to the incident.

It was noted that a possible catastrophe was prevented thanks to the measures taken by Russia.
