MHP leader says Constitutional Court must be closed down to be restructured

Speaking at the group meeting in parliament, Devlet Bahçeli, the leader of MHP which is small partner of ruling Republic Alliance lashed out at the Constitutional Court (AYM). The court had returned the HDP indictment to the prosecutor’s office. “We know very well how the person who is still occupying the presidency of the AYM, when he was the president of the Police Academy in the past, hosted the PKK opening and hosted 12 bad guys,” Bahceli said, describing the AYM as a coup-product institution.

“AYM’S DECISION IS VOID”

“The decision of the Constitutional Court, backing the HDP is void.

Do those members who sent the HDP’s file back to the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court today, have the courage to stand in front of the terrorists on the Mountain, albeit for 1 hour?

The president and aides of the AYM who said that the indictment was not properly prepared, go and tell this to the mothers of the martyrs. We see that the AYM, which saves HDP time, does not care about the indivisible integrity of the state and nation.”

“AYM’S DOOR MUST BE LOCKED”

“We know very well how the person who currently occupies the AYM presidency, when he was president of the Police Academy in the past, hosted the PKK opening and hosted 12 bad guys.

That person who organized a so-called Kurdish workshop at the Police Academy, is the president of the AYM. The impartiality of the president of the court is out of the question. It is the responsibility of democracy to restructure this court with a lock on its door. It is obvious that the AYM is a legacy of coup.”
