Minister announces Turkey will begin overseas flights to 40 countries in June

Turkey’s Transport Minister KARAISMAILOGLU has announced that Turkey will start overseas flights this month. There will gradually be flights to 40 countries in June. The first flights are to be operated to TRNC, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Qatar and Greece as of June 10.

Turkey has started the new process of normalization on 1 June. After domestic flights started at the beginning of the month, it is reported that international flights are to start this month as well.

Initiatives were started in 92 countries for the launch of international flights. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who is supposed to have carried out intensive diplomacy in this context, announced plans to gradually launch flights to 40 different countries in June.

The Minister stated that a preliminary agreement was made with 15 countries regarding the mutual opening of international flights in the first phase, adding “our cooperation with 92 countries continues for international flights. We are negotiating with organizations and interlocutors on the point of making flights safely. Currently we have agreed on the mutual opening of international flights for Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Austria, Lithuania, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Albania, Belarus, United Arab Emirates, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Italy”.

The Minister also shared details about the international flights, which will be launched in June, gradually. The international flights to be made in June are as follows:

– Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Qatar, Greece (June 10)

– Germany, Austria, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic (Pull), Croatia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Japan, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Tajikistan (June 15)

– Netherlands, Kazakhstan (June 20)

– Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, South Korea, Ireland, Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovakia (June 22)

– Belgium (June 25)
