Schools resume face-to-face training after a one-week break. Minister of National Education Mahmut OZER said, “As of November 22, only 66 of the 850 thousand classrooms will be closed. All other classes will continue face-to-face education.”

The minister went on to say, “As of September 6th, 2021, we started face-to-face training five days a week at all grade levels and after a two and a half month process, we entered a one-week break as scheduled in the calendar. Our students and teachers had the opportunity to relax during this period.”

Our teachers were able to continue their professional development trainings remotely from a digital environment during this one-week time frame. Therefore, our teachers did not go to schools during said week either. Now, we will continue from where we left off with the same determination and compliance with all our health measures. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our students a healthy and successful educational period.”

OF THE 850 THOUSAND CLASSES, 66 ARE CLOSED

Stating the classes that were closed due to this one-week break had also completed their period, Ozer said, “As of 22 November 2021, only 66 of the 850 thousand classes will be closed. All other classes will continue face-to-face training,” he said.

THE VACCINATION RATE OF TEACHERS IS 88 PERCENT

Emphasizing that there was also a constant increase in the vaccination rate of teachers, Ozer noted that the proportion of teachers who had received at least two doses of the vaccine had increased to 88 percent adding the rate of teachers who had created antibodies by passing the disease without a vaccine was about 5 percent. He went on to say, “Therefore, our rate of teachers who have had at least two doses of the vaccine and have antibodies without the vaccine is at the level of 93 percent.”
