Motor vehicle tax to start from 1313 TL for cars aged 1-3 years, in the new year

The General Communiqué on Motor Vehicle Tax prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Revenue Administration has been published in the Official Gazette to take effect from January 1, 2022.

The reassessment rate was set at 25 percent

According to the Decision of the President, MTV amounts were determined as 25 percent for vehicles on tariffs specified in Articles 5, 6 and 8 of Law No. 197, instead of the revaluation rate of 36.20 percent set for 2021.

Accordingly, the MTV of 1-3-year-old cars in 2022 will range from 1313 TL to 1576 TL for those with an engine cylinder volume of 1300 cc and below.

=> Up to 1600 cubic centimeters, 2 ,287 TL and 2,746 TL
=> At the same age, the engine cylinder volume will be 1301-1600 cubic centimeters, and the tax on cars will also be between 2,287 TL and 2,746 TL.
=> The tax for cars with an engine cylinder volume of more than 4001 cubic centimeters was calculated between 57,415 TL and 62,633 TL.

=> As for motorcycles, the MTV of those aged 1-3 years will range from 245 TL to 3,168 TL depending on the cylinder volume.
