New constitution will remove freedom restrictions on assembly, demonstration, expression rights and press
The articles envisaging the restriction of freedoms are being reorganized. In this context, obstacles to freedom of assembly and demonstration, freedom of expression and freedom of the press are being removed.
Based on report by media has the draft constitution, which the 6 party table (opposition) has been working on for a long time, has begun to become clear.
Here are some important points to be introduced by the new constitution on the table
According to the information obtained, around 100 articles in the current constitution will be amended. The content of the articles to be amended does not contradict the declaration shared by the 6 party table under “Bilkent Declaration” title earlier, which envisages the transition to a strengthened parliamentary system as agreed and committed to by leaders of said 6 party.
