New record in dollar prices: Current dollar exchange rates on December 8

While dollar prices were moving at 28.9306 TL at the closing time of Turkish markets yesterday, the new day started at 28.9294 TL. The exchange rate rose to 28.9902 TL after the opening, reaching the highest level seen while the markets were open. As of the market closing time at 17:30, the dollar moved at 28.9808 TL with a 0.18% increase.

On December 4, the USD/TRY reached a record level of 29.2476 in a shallow market.

Euro slightly loses value

While Euro prices reached the highest level of 31.4510 TL in a shallow market, it is currently at 31.1350 TL with a 0.40% loss. The British pound is trading at 36.4479 TL at the same moment.

The dollar index rose by 0.57% to 104.13 with the U.S. non-farm payroll data coming in slightly above expectations. The Euro/dollar parity is currently moving around 1.0745 levels.

The compound interest rate of the 10-year benchmark bond is at 25.17%, and the compound interest rate of the 2-year benchmark bond is at 38.36%.
