 Taliban reported to capture seven Turks in Afghanistan

It is reported that a helicopter owned by air charter company Khorasan Cargo Airlines and carrying  had to make an emergency landing in a Taliban-controlled zone in Afghanistan. The report further informed that 7 Turkish engineers and foreign pilots on board could be captured by Taliban. It is informed the owner company spoke to the pilots on Sunday afternoon but had heard nothing from them, yet.

Friends of Syria Group convene in Istanbul

The meeting which wwas held in Istanbul was attended by Foreign Ministers and higher officials of Turkey, United States of America, United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany and France. In the meeting a decision “to expand and develop support for all institutions affiliated with Syrian opposition” was made.

Following the meeting Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Syrian National Coalition Chairman Muaz Al Khatib held a joint press conference. The communique announced after the meeting said that Bashar Assad and his close circles would not have any place in the future of Syria.

Secretary KERRY recommends Turkish PM to delay trip to Gazza

In a press meeting US Secretary of State John Kerry said they had told Turkish PM Erdoğan it Erdoğan it would be better for him to delay his trip to the Palestinian Gaza Strip planned for the end of May.

After a meeting with Davutoğlu on Sunday US Secretary of State John Kerry answered questions from the press on which occasion he implied Washington would have concerns about an eventual visit to Gaza before the climate matured for such a trip.
