UN Secretary says Israel’s apology to Turkey is a sign for stability

UN Secretary’ press office has made an announcement saying the UN chief welcomes the move to normalize relations between the two countries and believes it is an important and promising sign for the stability of the region. A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office had said Friday the tragic outcome of the Mavi Marmara incident was not intended by Israel and that Israel regretted the loss of human life and injury.

President Gul: Kurdish people do not have a negative attitude against Turkish flag

Replying to the questions of journalists before he received Iranian Ambassador to Turkey President Abdullah Gul criticised the absence of Turkish flag in the Nevruz celebrations in Diyarbakir.  Gül said ”This is the flag for which we all sacrifice our lives when needed. Therefore I do not think that any Kurdish people would have a negative attitude against the Turkish flag. The absence of Turkish flag is a big mistake.”

Economy Minister says Turkey is ready for a global cooperation with Denmark

At the Turkish-Danish Business Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark, Minister Caglayan Turkish Minister said that it would take 5-10 years of time for some countries to return to their economic situation before the crisis and Turkey was ready to cooperate with Denmark on a global level in order to surpass the global economic crisis.

PM Erdoğan: We want to to raise trade volume with Netherlands to $ 15 bln

Turkish PM Erdogan who addressed a group of Dutch CEOs said that for 400 years, Turkey and the Netherlands had had strong relations and cooperation in all fields and Turkey wished to raise trade volume with the Netherlands to 15 billion USD by 2015. He also stated that Turkey’s gross domestic product was at around 230 billion USD in 2002 and this figure had jumped to 774 billion USD at the end of 2012.”

Ambassador to Turkey says he wants Turkish companies to invest in Austria

On a courtesy visit to the Governor of Mersin Wolfer stated that Austrian businessmen continuously invested in Turkey and they wanted Turkish companies to invest in Austria, as well. Wolfer also said that Mersin which was Turkey’s biggest port in the Mediterranean Sea was doing its bit and had reached approximately 25 million dollars in foreign trade.

Energy Minister says Turkey wants Turkmen gas to be included in TANAP project

Turkish Energy Minister YILDIZ went to Ashgabat for the international Nowruz festival and was welcomed by his counterpart Yagsgeldi Kakayew in Ashgabat International Airport. YILDIZ stated that Europe seeks to vary its natural gas resources for supply and emphasized that it is in need to clarify how the Turkmen natural gas could be included within the TANAP project.

Turkey becomes major ship manufacturer for Norway

Turkey among many other developing industries in the country has made big progress in ship building field. In fact, it has come to a level where serious buyers like Norway have chosen to work with Turkey. Today Tersan Shipyard a Turkish firm has delivered 5th vessel to Norway and has been working on nine other vessels.
