Oger shares in Turk Telekom to be bought by Saudis or Turkish government

It was reported that Saudi Telecom would take the shares of Oger Telekom, which owns 55 percent of Türk Telekom. According to report by Reuters, based on three different sources, in case this alternative does not realize said shares could also be bought by Turkish government

Türk Telekom’s 55 percent share was sold to Saudi-based Oger Telecom on November 11, 2005 for US$ 6 billion 550 million.

It is reported that Oger Telekom which was not able to make its payment of 290 million dollars in September and March is in debt for a total of $ 4.75 billion due to Turk Telekom.
