Operator of Babadag paragliding facilities entry fee increased by 28 percent only

Paragliding companies in Fethiye recently protested against hikes in runway usage fees and announced they were halting flights indefinitely. In a press release, the paratroopers said the price had been increased by 110 per cent from TL 38.5 to TL 81, adding they had decided to stop flights in such a case.

However, KIRTUR company which operates the facility issued a written statement saying the public had been misinformed. In the written statement the company said: “TL 38.5 was the price in 2018 and TL 61 was the price in 2019 for a tandem flight. Accordingly, the price for 2019 was increased by 27.87 percent only, to TL 78.
