Opposition politician says “Erdogan will try to keep AK Party as main opposition” after election

Bülent Kaya, Deputy Chairman of the Felicity Party, suggested that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would go to an early election as soon as he realized that he could not put the economy back in order. Kaya also noted that Erdogan would try to keep the AKP as the main opposition party (in case he lost the election).

Felicity Party Leader Temel Karamollaoglu had announced that during a meeting with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier, Erdogan offered him to become a partner in the Cumhur (Public) Alliance during the meeting, but he did not accept it. After Karamollaoglu, the Deputy Chairman of the Felicity Party, Bulent Kaya, also made striking statements about the possible election calculations of the government.

He said, “As soon as President Erdogan realizes that he cannot recover the economy, he will try to keep the AK Party in parliament as the main opposition together following the early elections,”
