Opposition reacts to reduction of ferry services after opening of Dardanelles bridge

There was a reaction from the opposition to the reduction of ferry services on the ferry line after the opening of the 1915 Dardanelles Bridge. According to a CHP Deputy, this step created the perception of “trying to oblige people to use the new bridge to cross to the other side”.

The 1915 Dardanelles Bridge connecting Asia and Europe was commissioned yesterday.

While the opposition continues to criticize the transit (crossing) guarantees given in foreign currency, it is also reacting to the reduction of ferry services with the opening of the bridge.

After the opening, the number of ‘Eceabat -Çanakkale‘ and ‘Kilitbahir-Çanakkale‘ flights of GESTAŞ, which is affiliated to the Çanakkale Provincial Special Administration and provides public transportation services on the Canakkale Strait, has been reduced.
