Organization in United Kingdom launches donation campaign to support earthquake victims in Turkey

The Disasters Emergency Committee (Dec), which brings together 15 aid organizations in Britain, has launched a donation campaign to support the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, according to media.

In the statement, on the website of DEC it was shared that in addition to the search and rescue work, the provision of shelter, medical equipment, heater, blanket, thermal clothing, food and clean water were of priority, to help victims of said earthquake.

In this context, DEC will broadcast the donation campaign they to be launched to provide emergency support to the region, live on different television channels in Britain.

The donation campaign is also being shared on DEC’s social media accounts. The statement said that the British government will add up to 5 million pounds to the campaign.

In addition, Scotland has also announced that it will donate 500 thousand pounds to DEC’s campaign.
