Pegasus Airlines places order for 100 Airbus planes

Pegasus Airlines has placed with AIRBUS an order for 100 pieces of aircrafts worth 12 billion dollars, in total. Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2015 and end in 2012.

Pegasus Airlines Pegasus announced its order for the new planes it will add to its fleet within the framework of 2013 vision, with a signing ceremony held at its new headquarters in Aeropark, Kurtköy.

Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali YILDIRIM,  Pegasus Pegasus Airlines Chairman Ali Sabanci Sertaç Haybat General Manager, Airbus Executive Vice President Christopher Buckley and transportation, civil aviation and business representatives attended the event.

Pegasus Airlines Chairman Ali SABANCI made the following statement;

“Starting from our first day in business, we have introduced the civil aviation sector in our country with innovations. We have not taken a break and say this is not enough and keep moving forward”

Christopher Buckley, Airbus Executive said “Turkey is rapidly becoming Europe’s most dynamic commercial aviation market. Pegasus is one of the key players in this transformation”.
