Yandex signs agreement with Turkey’s e-commerce company to sell Turkish products

Market.yandex.ru is an e-commerce platform established by Sberbank, Russia’s largest financial company and Yandex, Russian search engine Company.  Russian giant has signed an important agreement with hepsiburada.com, the largest trading platform in Turkey to sell goods of Turkish origin on its e-commerce platform. Hepsiburada belongs to Doğan group, established by Aydın Doğan many years back. Doğan Group had sold its media companies to include leading HURRIYET newspaper to DEMIROREN group a short while ago and is not active in said sector any more.

Based on news circulated in Russian media said agreement will enable Russian customers to have access to approximately 5 million goods sold in various categories on hepsiburada platform.

Accordingly, Market.yandex.ru users will be able to connect to Hepsiburada.com platform and buy clothes, shoes, accessories, home textiles and various household appliances and household items.

It is reported that Hepsiburada.com which was established by Hanzade Doğan Boyner, Mr. Aydın Doğan’s daughter, receives visits from more than 21 million users monthly.

Yandex has been active in Turkey since 2011 trying to challenging GOOGLE in search engine sector.
