New Route Connecting Turkey and Spain

Pegasus Airlines has officially started direct flights from Istanbul to Bilbao, marking a new connection between Turkey and northern Spain. Departures from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Bilbao Airport will operate four days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Pegasus, founded in 1990, is a Turkey-based low-cost airline known for its affordable pricing policy, extensive domestic network, and wide range of routes across Europe and the Middle East. Its main hub is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and the company is well known for its long-standing slogan, “Let Everyone Fly.”

Fleet Strength and Global Reach
Pegasus currently operates a fleet of 124 aircraft. The airline flies to approximately 153–156 destinations across 54 countries, covering both domestic routes within Turkey and international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Pegasus also maintains one of the youngest fleets in the region, with an average aircraft age of 4.9 years.

Expansion and Future Plans
Pegasus continues to strengthen its position as one of Turkey’s leading low-cost carriers. With its modern fleet flying to more than 50 countries and over 150 destinations, the airline is preparing for further expansion through upcoming aircraft orders and a long-term capacity-growth strategy.
