Pension increase for civil servants and retirees announced by Erdogan

President Erdogan announced the increase in salaries of civil servants and pensioners as 25 percent.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the salary increase rate of civil servants, retired civil servants and SGK pensioners as 25 percent for the first half of 2023 at the ceremony held regarding the recruitment of contracted personnel.

According to the data announced by TURKSTAT, the salary increase rate for civil servants and pensioners was determined as 16.48 percent, Erdogan said, “We will apply the salary increase rate for civil servants, civil servant pensioners and all other pensioners as 25 percent.”
