Migration of physicians cannot be stopped: 2,685 good behavior certificates received last year

Last year, a total of 2,685 physicians requested a good behavior certificate from the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) to present to the countries they are going to. In the last month of 2022, 268 physicians received certificates of good behavior.

The number of physicians going abroad continues to increase from year to year. The increase in the last 10 years has reached a dramatic level. In 2012, only 59 physicians applied for a good behavior certificate. In 2016, 245 physicians requested a certificate of good behavior. there has been a serious acceleration in applications since 2017. The numbers go as follows: in 2017, 482, in 2018, 802, in 2019, 1057, in 2020, 931 and in 2021, 1405 physicians.

In 2022, 1341 of the applicants who applied for the good behavior certificate were general practitioners and 1344 were specialist physicians.

Among those who see a future in European countries, Canada, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, there are not only public or university employees, but also self-employed ones.
