Police statement about IYI Party attack: ‘It only had to do with a robbery attempt’
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu announced that the perpetrator of the attack on the Istanbul Provincial Presidency of the IYI Party had been captured. An armed attack was carried out on the IYI Party Provincial Presidency in Istanbul. Two bullets from the attacker’s gun hit the windows of the party building.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, shared a message on his Twitter account, as follows: “The perpetrator of the attack that hit the IYI Party Provincial Presidency has been caught. Those in positions of responsibility need to be careful when making accusations. Our task is to catch. Trust your government and your Police. Otherwise you will be embarrassed.”
STATEMENT FROM THE POLICE
Istanbul Police Directorate announced that the bullet that hit the Good Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency building in Zeytinburnu had come from a gun fired by a construction guard in order to prevent a theft attempt at the place where he was on duty.
