Political parties are keeping a close watch on young people for the upcoming general elections, on  May 14th, most likely. Parties trying to get votes from 6.5 million voters who will go to the ballot box for the first time, have focused on projects and campaigns aimed at young people.

According to unofficial figures, around 64 million voters are expected to vote in the elections, which are less than 4 months away. Approximately 13 million of them are young people between the ages of 18 and 25, the so-called “generation Z”. About six and a half million young people will go to the polls for the first time. Realizing the fact that the “Generation Z” voters form an important part of the cake, the political parties that will enter the elections are also trying to take the young voters into closer contact.

By revising the past election declarations and party policies, the campaigning teams of the parties have started to prepare projects to address the future anxiety of young people in many areas from the economy to technology, health to education. While the declarations are expected to be presented to the public in the following weeks, according to the information obtained from the leaders’ statements and party policies, several preparations are made by the parties with groups in the Parliament for young people.
