Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the richest names in the world, is also the largest agricultural land owner in the United States. This puts Gates at the center of conspiracy theories as well. However, according to Gates, this situation is just an investment policy.

Gates, who participated in an event on the social media platform, responded to a user’s question “Why are you buying so much farmland”: He said, ”I own less than four thousandths of the farmland in the United States. I invested in these farms to make them more efficient and create more jobs. There’s no big plan involved. In fact, all these decisions were made by a professional investment team.”

Gates went on to say, “The agricultural sector is important. Thanks to productive seeds, we can prevent the destruction of forests and help Africa with the climate challenge they are already facing.”
