The latest poll results from SONAR Research Company, known for its accurate predictions in both local and general elections, have been revealed. The poll shows that the opposition party CHP (Republican People’s Party), which emerged victorious in the last local elections, has widened its lead over the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party). Economic Challenges and Calls for Early Elections
As Turkey continues to grapple with an economic crisis, citizens struggle with the cost of living while the opposition persists in calling for early elections. The election performances of the ruling AKP, which suffered a significant defeat in the last local elections, and the victorious CHP remain a focal point.
CHP Extends Its Lead
In the latest poll, CHP, which previously held a narrow lead, has increased its margin over AKP. The results, shared by journalist Şaban Sevinç on X (formerly Twitter), reveal that CHP is ahead of AKP by 5 percentage points.

– AKP: 28.2%
– Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA): 9.2%
– Nationalist Movement Party (MHP): 7.3%
– Good Party (İYİP): 7%
– Victory Party (Zafer): 6.2%

Both MHP and İYİP hover around the electoral threshold, while Zafer and YRP’s performances are noteworthy.
Growing Support for Early Elections
The poll also posed the question, *”Do you think early elections should be held?”* to participants. The percentage of those answering “yes” rose to 57.9% in October, up from 51.4% in July.
