President Erdoğan: We don’t have sunflower or olive oil problems

President Erdogan has said: “We do not have sunflower, olive oil, such a problem. The opposition is conducting such a campaign in order to make our country look in difficulty.” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the female mukhtars (official neighborhood reps) he met at the Presidential Complex.

Erdoğan, who started his speech by greeting the listeners, stated that they had been holding meetings with mukhtars for more than 7 years, and this time they were only holding it with female mukhtars.

Emphasizing that today’s meeting had a separate importance and meaning due to the “International Women’s Day on March 8th”, Erdogan congratulated all women’s Women’s Day.

Regarding some issue on the agenda of the country the President Said following:

“We don’t have a sunflower, olive oil problem”

Erdogan who said that a sunflower oil issue had been brought to the agenda recently, said: “We do not have such a problem as sunflower, olive oil. The opposition is conducting such a campaign in order to make our country look in difficulties.”

Erdogan, who also made a request to the mukhtars on this issue, said following: “Is there really sunflower oil in the grocery stores in your neighborhood, in your village, in grocery stores or not? But I want that, if necessary, you will even track and report to us the warehouses of these on behalf of our Ministry of Internal Affairs, we will do what is necessary to these stockists.”
