President of Tekel Dealers Platform announces major hike in cigarette prices

As hikes continue to come one after the other due to the increase in the exchange rate, the president of the Turkish Monopoly Dealers Platform has announced a new hike in cigarettes.

After the sharp increase in the dollar / TL exchange rate, many products continue to receive hikes. Özgür Aybaş, the President of Tekel Dealers Platform, who announced that a 2 TL hike was coming to a cigarette group last week, has now announced the new cigarette hike on his social media account.

Obviously the government needs to create new funds (via taxes etc) to keep the engine going. On the other hand however, it will apparently be another/additional burden on budgets of many households with smoking members.
