President of TTB says there are more than two years until the end of the work in Turkovac

The President of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), which was targeted by President Tayyip Erdogan due to criticism of Turkovac, said that there were more than two years before the studies on the domestic vaccine were completed. The Ministry of Health had announced that the inactivated Covid-19 vaccine Turkovac were approved for emergency use by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TITCK).

Granting of approval for immediate use before completion of 3rd phase and concerned announcement had caused doubts and concern in the world of science and TTB had asked “Is there a  report about safe and effective usage of the vaccine before approval for usage”. Moreover, the Association of Public Health Professionals had also required the authority to share the results of phase studies so far.
