Professor from University of Ankara & his team succeed to isolate SARS-COV-2 virus

A promising announcement has come from Ankara University as research regarding the treatment within the framework of fight against Corona virus (Covid-19) continues around the world.
It was shared on social media account of Ankara University that Prof. Dr. Aykut Ozkul, head of the University’s Veterinary Faculty Virology department and director of Biotechnology Institute and his team had succeeded in isolating the SARS-COV-2 virus, the first step in producing serum, vaccine and medication against the corona virus.
The Turkish Veterinary Doctors ‘ Union made a statement on the issue as follows:
Prof. Dr. Aykut Özkul Head of Department of Virology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ankara University has successfully performed the isolation of SARS CoV-2 virus, which is the first step in producing serum, vaccine and Drug against COVID-19 disease. We congratulate our esteemed professor and his team for their extremely important and gratifying work, thank them and wish them success in the following process.
The mayor of Ankara, Mansur Yavaş, made a statement on his social media account: “God willing, we expect you to give good news to humanity in a short time from Ankara,” he said.
