The promotional campaign, jointly conducted by FTSO and Fethiye Municipality with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, has reached more than 10 million people globally, primarily in the UK. The year-long collaboration with the largest airline and tour operator transporting tourists from the UK to Dalaman has resulted in a 13% increase in seat capacity for flights to Dalaman for the 2024 tourism season. Furthermore, the flights operating from March 15 to November 22 have significantly contributed to extending the tourism season in Fethiye.

Jet2’s Joint Campaign Reached 10 Million People

On September 5, 2024, FTSO Chairman and Secretary General hosted Jet2’s General Manager of Airports and Tourism Organizations, along with YDA Dalaman Airport Operations and Revenue Director, MTS Glob Turkey Operations Manager and MTS Glob Aegean Region Manager at FTSO. The meeting reviewed the results of the year-long campaign.

General Manager Bramley highlighted that the campaign had turned into a highly successful promotional event, reaching over 10 million people. He also noted an increase in the number of customers traveling to the region via Jet2, and emphasized that they plan to grow even more for the 2025 tourism season. “As the UK’s largest airline and tour operator for Dalaman, we are fully committed to this magnificent region. We are eager to continue strengthening our relationships here to attract even more holidaymakers with our award-winning flights and holidays,” said Bramley.

13% Increase in Seat Capacity from the UK to Dalaman

FTSO Chairman Osman Çıralı stated that they had confirmed the success of the campaign, which began with the first meeting on June 16, 2023, with concrete figures. “The promotional campaign we planned in collaboration with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, along with the increase in flight numbers, has significantly contributed to Fethiye’s tourism. Seat capacity on flights from the UK to Dalaman has increased by 13%. Our promotions have reached over 10 million people abroad. We have also achieved our initial goal of extending the tourism season,” he said.

He further added that the goal of making tourism in Fethiye a year-round activity is no longer just a vision but a realistic target. “Our rapidly evolving and strengthening tourism infrastructure is playing a crucial role in achieving this. The efforts we’ve undertaken with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays demonstrate the feasibility of our goal. I extend my thanks to Mr. Bramley, YDA Dalaman Airport, and our Fethiye Municipality for their contributions to making this campaign a success,” concluded Çıralı.
