Provincial Council of Hygiene makes HES code required at entrance to restaurants

According to the new decision of the Provincial Council of Hygiene in Istanbul, HES code will be required at entrance to many places such as coffee shops, internet cafes, barbers, baths, massage parlors, wedding halls, theaters and gyms, effective March 15.

Istanbul Provincial Public Health Assembly convened today under the chairmanship of Deputy Governor. At the meeting, new decisions were made to combat the corona virus epidemic. Accordingly, it was decided that HES code should be necessary to enter places such restaurants, cafes and alike.

The new decisions, effective from March 15, were announced as follows:

HES code checks will be required in below situations

1- At entrance to all public institutions and organizations.
2- At entrance to all public/private schools and institutions linked to the Ministry of Education
3- Civil society organizations, public associations, professional organizations and higher with their bodies, cooperatives, General Assemblies (and more details)
4- Coffee shops, internet cafes, electronic game rooms, billiards lounges, association places, amusement parks, theme parks, barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons, beauty centres, Turkish baths, saunas and massage salons, spas, wedding halls, theatres, etc. HES code checks will be mandatory at the entrances of cultural activity places, libraries, gyms and sports centers.
5- Those who do not conform to the relevant decisions of the public health code, the establishment and administrative process will face legal proceedings in accordance with article 195 article of the Turkish Criminal Code on criminal behavior. (note: original item with more details)
