Tourism experts say prospects of many tourists coming to Antalya this season at risk

While the average number of cases were 78.11 per 100 thousand in Antalya 2 weeks ago only, this figure has now risen to 86.6. According to HES application, it is observed that red is the prevailing color in districts such as Döşemealtı, Korkuteli and Elmalı. This picture is said to be very much worrying for the tourism sector preparing for the new season.

Experts say, the orange picture seems to be real alarming the for the region adding they spend efforts to see to it Antalya receives more tourists this season.

It is a fact that Turkey’s coronavirus table is closely monitored by authorities abroad, and hence Antalya draws much attention in this respect.

As those responsible for the performance of the sector try to overcome obstacles, the fact that Antalya’s risk table is Orange shows a difficult process is awaiting everyone involved. Consequently, there is no doubt it is vital for Antalya region to turn to colors of yellow and blue as people are currently trying to arrange their holidays, their reservations in some way.

It has been observed so far that establishments in tourism sector have implemented the safe tourism certificate application in a serious sense. In fact, the sector has had a substantial experience in this regard with around 3 and a half million tourists since last year. Thanks to this experience those working in the sector are trained and they have done their best in this sense.

It is noted that all planning made are for tourism to begin intensively as of May, adding however it will not be enough just for the sector to be ready. It is observed that starting this week, some countries in Europe have moved on to rapid testing. They’re talking about the possibility that things could go fast when they get on the plane with rapid tests.

And last but not least, the prior step to take for bringing more tourists to Antalya seems to be to get a safe tourism certificate.
