Restaurant owners would like to stay open until 24:00 to serve more customers

Restaurants open in normalization period

President of the “Mediterranean Federation of Cooks and Pastry Makers” said that they had been closed for 2.5 months due to the new type of corona virus and that they had started working again with the new normal adding they wanted the closing time of 22.00 to be moved forward by two or three hours.

As the effect of the new type of corona virus began to decrease in Turkey, many businesses have opened their doors to their customers in accordance with the social distance and mask rule within the scope of the new normalization.

President of the Mediterranean Federation of Cooks and Pastry Makers said the state had provided substantial support during the period restaurants were closed and the restaurants had re-opened their doors to customers.

He went on to say, “Customers normally come to restaurants after 20:00 in summer. Therefore it would be best for restaurants if they did not have to close before 22:00 hrs. In particular, fish restaurants would be able to do better business in such case.

We kindly ask the government to take our request to change this time to 24:00 so restaurants could make up for their losses they have incurred all along.
