ORKA_JACKETSOrka Group, which owns the Damat, Tween and ADV fashion brands, has launched several innovative products such as a radiation-protecting jacket and non-creasing suits.

The company aims to increase the share of its innovative products to 30 percent of its total annual turnover in the next three years, according to Süleyman Orakçıoğlu, board chairman of Orka Group.

The group has promoted its new innovative designs including antibacterial products, some special designs that are able to keep the body warm or cool and trench coats which can turn into a bag, during a meeting in Istanbul Monday. The company has been studying these products for four years.

“Today, competing only with pricing policies is not sufficient to be afloat. For this reason, we try to compete by differentiating and diversifying our products,” Orakçıoğlu said.

Non-creasing “traveler” suits are another design that has attracted attention among the innovative products of Orka. Anti-stress t-shirts, stainless shirts, rainproof cotton jackets and perfume-spreading jackets are some of the other new designs.

The price of innovative designs is 20 percent to 30 percent higher compared to normal products, Orakçıoğlu said. “For the beginning, we reflected only the cost differences in prices. We are not profit-focused, this is a future project.”
