ATTACK BY HEZBOLLAH ON ISRAEL

A rocket attack was carried out on a football field in a village in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. While there are reports of many dead and injured, Israeli officials stated that they are preparing to respond to Hezbollah, which they blame for the attack.

The attack targeted the town of Majdal Shams, where a large Druze population resides, in the Golan Heights, which is under Israeli occupation. Israeli media referred to it as “Hezbollah’s deadliest attack,” reporting at least 10 fatalities due to the strike on the football field.

Israeli officials indicated that the rocket was fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon, and reported that at least 30 people aged between 10 and 20 were injured, with six in serious condition. A health worker in the area noted significant destruction at the scene, with the Israeli army assisting in the evacuation of the injured.

A witness, who requested anonymity, stated, “The rocket hit the football field; they are all children… There are many bodies and remains on the field, we do not know who they are.”

The attack on the football field came shortly after Israel killed four Hezbollah members in southern Lebanon.

HEZBOLLAH’S SEQUENCE OF STATEMENTS

Muhammad Afif, head of Hezbollah’s press office, initially stated that they were not involved in the attack. Later, Hezbollah announced through their official Telegram account that the attack was a retaliation against Israel’s strikes on the town of Kfarkilla in southern Lebanon.

The statement claimed that Israeli positions, including the Zibdin military base related to the Hermon Brigade in the Golan Heights, as well as the command posts of the Sehl Brigade in Beir Hillel and the Hermon Brigade in Maali Golan, were targeted.
