Russian media says Turkey doesn’t disclose real figures regarding coronavirus cases

Some newspapers in Russia say there are more cases of coronavirus outbreaks in Turkey than are disclosed adding the actual figures are not disclosed so as not to scare tourists. Regarding news that Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin BOCEK and Alanya mayor Murat YUCEL coronavirus tests have come out positive, Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper has published news based on interviews with some Russians returning from Turkey.

According to info thus provided the newspaper has made news with title “There are many cases in Turkey, and it is not made public not to scare tourists”.

The newspaper also included info in said news that Antalya and Alanya Metropolitan mayors had contracted virus. The paper reported that the hotel staff had also given information in this direction.

Based on same news, it is reported that facilities that need to operate at 50 per cent capacity do not match this. In the details of the news it is informed hotels have changed open buffet order only, indicating that the rules about mask and distance are not followed. (TA)
