Scandal response to violence against women: Minister says it’s tolerable

Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık participated in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Research Commission to determine the causes of violence against women and made a presentation. She said the increase in violence against women during the pandemic period was “tolerable”.

She attended a meeting of the Commission of Inquiry on the determination of the causes of violence against women held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The minister said there was a “tolerable increase” in violence against women during the Coronavirus outbreak.
