Seven people who mixed disinfectant with fruit juice and drank it in quarantine, lost their lives

In Cambodia, seven workers who were quarantined on their way back to the country from Thailand died after drinking alcohol given as a disinfectant.

After entering the country, these people, who were kept in a quarantine center in the Banteay Meanchey district under Covid-19 measures, drank the disinfectant mixed with water and juice, the ministry of health announced.

The statement said 12 other people were taken to hospital after consuming the “mixture” which they did likewise. Information was shared that these people had complaints such as headache, difficulty breathing, and dizziness.

It was announced that samples were taken from the mixture and it will be analyzed in the capital Phnom Penh.
