Statement from Kılıçdaroğlu after political ban decision on Imamoğlu: We will not let them get away with this

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Imamoğlu was sentenced to 2 years, 7 months and 15 days in prison. On the other hand, the court also decided to apply article 53 which means a political ban. After the political ban decision issued against IMM President Ekrem Imamoğlu, the first statement came from CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

THE FIRST STATEMENT FROM KILIÇDAROĞLU

After the decision, the first statement came from CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Making a statement on the way back from Germany, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “We see clearly how the law is slaughtered, how a state surrendered to the will of a person decays, how justice decays, to which points the feeling of revenge is carried. But no one should be worried about this; we will defend justice until the end. We will never let those who do injustice get away with it either.”

It was also learned that Kılıçdaroğlu had a 12-minute phone conversation with Imamoğlu. It is reported that CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu also called his chief industrial transformation adviser Jeremy Rifkin and told him to cancel his trip to Berlin.
