In line with the report prepared by an expert committee for the mine near Salda Lake in Burdur, the 2nd Administrative Court of Isparta has issued a stay of execution order regarding the controversial “No Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) required” decision.

The mining companies operating in the Eşeler Plateau, which feeds Salda Lake in Burdur, Çevik Mining and Zontaş Zonguldak Stone Coal Mining, had been granted the “No EIA required” decision for the capacity expansion of chromite mining.
